Lady Bug, Lady Bug, fly away home......
Heather's "Friday Spark" was to make a card using a punch. I started with a 1 inch circle punch, a basic hole punch and black, red and white card stock. With the 1 inch punch and the black and red card stock I punched two black circles and two red circles. Then I switched to the basic hole punch and punched out 12 black circles. The red circles were cut in half and placed on the black circle, touching at the top and apart at the bottom, to give the effect of lady bug wings. This was repeated with the other black and red circles. Two small black circles were placed on each wing.
The white card stock was cut 4 x 5 1/4 inches. I placed the lady bugs in position on the card and then placed two small black dots underneath the top of each body to form their heads. The sentiment was stamped using Stampin Up black ink.
The white card piece was placed over a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of green cut from Carolee's Creations Candy Green paper. The green grass and flowers were cut with the Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. After adhering the "grass" to the white card stock I used A Muse twinkle stickers on some of the flowers. A strip of ribbon was placed along the bottom and the final touch was drawing the antennae and the "flight path" of the lady bugs.
Supplies include: Stampin Up white, red and black card stock; Carolee's Creations Candy Green paper; A Muse Twinkle stickers; : Stampin Up black ink; Inkadinkado sentiment stamp.
