I was on such a crafty high from actually completing my December Daily that I decided to jump right in with a Project Life album. Somewhere along the way someone really needs to grab me by the shoulders and shake a little sense into me *lol*. But I will persevere!
Using various photo sleeves makes getting started super easy. The combo pack available at One Little Spark has two each of five different types of photo sleeves so you can change up your layouts to fit the orientation of your photos.
After trying to coordinate different papers I finally decided to use 6"x6" and 8"x8" paper pads - everything is already coordinated for you with these pads! My go to papers so far have been Authentique. Their monthly releases of new patterns gives me a huge variety to choose from!
After choosing the papers I then make a two page layout with the photo sleeves. Most times these layouts have everything except the pictures - that way I can work ahead and add pictures later if I need to. You can see with this layout the pictures still need to be added.
You're probably wondering how I work head without pictures and journaling and still remember what happened in a particular week. I would love to say I have a fantastic memory, but I don't, so I take notes. This way I can go back later to add the pictures and the journaling. Journaling is my least favorite thing to do so I put it off as long as possible which means I better jot down darn good notes and dates!
Each week has a two page layout with the number of the week in the upper left corner of the left layout page ...
One completely finished page...well, I do have to add journaling but I'm tickled pink with this particular week's layout!
I have gone from absolutely dreading working on my Project Life album to actually looking forward to putting the weekly layouts together and taking pictures to document the little things in life that otherwise I might not think twice about.
