FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF THE PERSON OR PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR EMILY'S MURDER.
Emily Griffitt was last seen in Caldwell County, North Carolina, early in the morning of December 29, 2005. She left her home on Dry Ponds Road in Sawmills around 8 a.m. to run errands and pay bills. When she had not returned home and no one had heard from her by that evening, she was reported missing.
Emily was last seen at Martin Marietta Aggregates on Bradford Moutain Road in Lenoir,NC around 10 a.m. She was described as a white female with medium to dark brown hair, wearing glasses, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. She was wearing jeans, work boots and a dark blue "Old Navy" sweatshirt.
At the time of her disappearance, Emily was driving a 2000 white Chevrolet Silverado standard cab four-wheel-drive pick-up truck. The truck had a long bed with a diamond-plate tool box. On the front bumper of the truck was a license plate that read "Got Milk?"
On Saturday, January 7th, 2006 at approximately 1 p.m., the Duncan, South Carolina Police Department located a white 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in a Waffle House parking lot just off Interstate 85 near Spartanburg. Emily's body was found stuffed in the locked tool-box in the bed of the her truck. Emily had been shot to death.
