The A Muse Addicts homepage contest for May was to make a card with the theme "Let's Get Ready for Summer", which, of course, means it has to have something to do with summer. <duh>
Since I am visiting Heather this week I have access to all her A Muse goodies which I have been playing with for almost the entire day! Wheeeeee!! This is like being a kid in a candy store!! <lol> Give me Coke and chocolate and I'll be content all day long! What more could you ask for?????
So anyway, here is my entry for the homepage contest. When I think of summer I think of lazy days and little boys fishing with nothing but the sound of bees humming.
The card is the cabana blue card on which I first stamped the Leafy Tree followed by Fishing Boy. Then using the window box stamp from the Simple Wishes clear stamp set I inked the flowers and stamped a border along the water's edge - it still needed something so I went back to the window box and inked just the butterflies and their flight path on the card.
Everything was colored using the Copic markers. This is the first time I've ever used them and I can see what all the fuss is about!! They are fantastic!! Gotta have them!! The sentiment was the last thing added to the card.
Heather's working on her deadlines and I'm playing!! Hmmm...I could get used to this....Mommy plays while daughter works!!! Whooo Hooo!! I'm going back to the "play room" **wink, wink**
Supplies include A Muse cabana notecard, Leafy Tree stamp, Fishing Boy stamp, window box stamp and sentiment stamp; Memento tuxedo black ink; Versa Magic chestnut roan ink; and Copic Markers in green green, leafy green, baby pink flesh, manganese blue, lipstick red, pale sepia, begonia pink, lavender and tender pink.
