At last my stampin' mojo has returned! I was beginning to think it had deserted me forever *lol* I've been in such a funky slump for what seems like an eternity so I figured the only way to come out of it was to sit down with stamps, ink and papers and stare at them until (hopefully) an idea would form. Thank goodness it worked, otherwise I'd still be sitting and staring!
My first thought was to see how many cards I could make limiting myself to two stamp sets and one paper pack - this is the first of three. Not too shabby for my first slumpless day, huh?
This thank you card was made using two Hero Arts' stamp sets - Stitched Frame and Sweet Threads Thank You. It was easy to choose Basic Grey's coordinating Sweet Threads paper. These papers are a little on the "busy" side for me but they were easy to work with when teamed with Memory Box's solid notecards.
To create the background for this card the image was stamped with Versa Magic's Thatched Straw chalk ink.
The "stitched" area and sentiment were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then the paper edges were torn and slightly distressed. The flower and leaves were also stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and trimmed before adhering to the card.
The second flower layer was attached with foam tape to add a little dimension to the card. Notice all those little orange A Muse twinkles in the center of the flower? I swear it took longer to place those little critters than it did to make the entire card! But it was worth it - I like the added sparkle!
