Scrapbook Cafe Saturday Night Challenge

Maybe it's the slightly cooler weather we've had the past few days, or it could be all the fall and Halloween stuff being posted on so many blogs, but it seems that autumn has been on my mind a lot this week.  So while I was trying to think of something for this week's challenge, I was also thinking about why I like autumn so much.  If you've read some of the last few posts on this blog you already know I really like Halloween, but there's something else that I look forward to doing every year at this time... shuffling through the leaves that have fallen on the ground! I love to feel them under my shoes and hear them crackle. I have been known to go out and do nothing but walk around kicking up the leaves in our yard. While the neighbors are out almost every day with leaf blowers, rakes and mowers frantically trying to corral every last leaf into a garbage bag, I am out there shuffling through our leaves and wondering why on earth are these people in such a rush to get rid of Mother Nature's beautiful lawn ornaments???  They don't even take time to enjoy them for even a minute!! Not only will I walk through them in my yard, but if I'm out anywhere and spot some leaves I will take a "side trip" just so I can walk through them.  I've done this for as long as I can remember. 

So this week's Scrapbook Cafe Saturday Night challenge is to scrap something you like about autumn.

Mine is a totally digital layout but you can do your layout any way you want to, be it traditional, digital or hybrid. 

We were walking along outside Notre Dame when Heather snapped this shot of me, off on one of my "side trips",  blissfully shuffling through the leaves.  Normally I don't like pictures of myself, but I do like this one.

The deadline for this challenge is Wednesday night and the winner will be announced Thursday!  Have fun!

i do the same exact thing!! We only rake our leaves like once... i don't understand all that wasted energy getting rid of something so pretty! LOL

This should be an easy, fun one! I think fall and spring are probably my 2 favorite times of the year. BTW, AC Moore had some of the Martha Stewart Halloween line. And a 50% off coupon for Tuesday. I bought the book of vintage Halloween papers (so cute) so I am already for this challenge.
